2012 Calgary MEG Annual Forum Update

The Calgary Mineral Exploration Group has organized an annual spring Mining Forum with short courses for the past 20 years. The attendance has gone down steadily for 5 years and this year we lost over $11,000 on our yearly operation. We have decided to move the Forum time to around the third week in October; a time of year when there are very few conferences competing with us.

The Forum is run by a group of volunteers, most of whom having been doing it for 10 years or more. We want at least 5 new volunteers for the October 2012 Forum. These new volunteers will work with the existing committee to share some of the effort.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! If we do not get 5 new volunteers we will cancel the annual Forum and only continue with monthly lunch meetings and short courses. It is your Mining Forum and it will only continue if you help out. If you would like to volunteer please send us an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
